Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham Honored with Top Benchmark Award

Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham has been awarded the Division II Top Benchmark Award for 2023-24 during the Bridge of Hope National Annual Conference in Lancaster County, PA.
 
The Award recognizes Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham’s exemplary achievement in meeting or exceeding Bridge of Hope benchmarks, which are integral to ending family homelessness through Bridge of Hope. The benchmarks achieved include 100% of families were living in safe and sustainable housing at completion of the program and were employed. Additionally, 100% of the Neighboring Volunteers walking alongside the families received training to equip them to support the family.
 
Wendy Hoke Witmer, Chief Impact Officer for Bridge of Hope National stated: “The shortage of affordable housing is at crisis levels across the country. And housing costs continue to creep upward. Finding housing for families facing homelessness is taking more time, creativity, and collaboration. In this environment, Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham staff and volunteers are successfully helping families find both housing and stability!”
 
Bridge of Hope is a national network of 21 locations across 13 states.  The mission of Bridge of Hope is to engage Christian faith communities in ending family homeless through neighboring relationships that demonstrate Christ’s love.
