A&P Airframe Mechanic
Purpose: The A&P Mechanic diagnoses, adjusts, repairs and/or overhauls aircraft and related systems.

Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and un-scheduled, routine and non-routine maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and make repairs utilizing applicable technical specifications/data, engineering instructions, or maintenance manuals
- Properly complete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and applicable company policy/procedures
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop floor/work environment from clutter or debris
- Maintain a safe work environment and reports any unsafe conditions
- Troubleshoot systems to provide an effective solution
- Perform corrosion inspections and related treatment in accordance with applicable data
- Submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required
- Maintain communication with assigned Team Lead for task updates and status reports
- Perform engine, propeller, flight control, and landing gear rigging
- Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft systems and equipment
- Operate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficiencies
- Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components
- Read and interpret technical data including original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogs, wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, service bulletins, etc. to direct maintenance repairs
- Submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required
- Properly utilize parts tag instructions in accordance with the Repair Station Quality Control Manual
- Assist in the training and guidance of new A&P Mechanics
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- FAA A&P license required, or path forward to obtaining A&P quickly
- 3+ years of equivalent military, trade school, or aircraft structures experience preferred
- High school education required; some college preferred
- Provide your own toolbox (shadowed) and tools (etched)
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with A&P Mechanics, Inspectors, Pilots, and Engineers to maintain and modify aircraft
- Experience working in an AS9100, ISO 9001, DCMA and FAA Part 145 environment preferred
- Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
