Human Resources Administrative Assistant (seasonal)

Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant position serves as the primary point of contact for employees for HR assistance or guidance, assists with general HR functions, and provides administrative support for special projects.  Greeting employees who visit HR, assisting them with basic functions, and or directing them to the proper resource within the department are the main employee relations functions.  Administrative functions include processing new hire paperwork, assisting with corrections to taxes and I-9 documentation, and scanning/indexing documents to employee records.  They also serve as a resource for HR Generalists and Management with special projects and other employee centered programs. 

Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Prior customer service/employee relations experience

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general database applications

Must be at least 18

Preferred

Previous office/administrative experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of resort operations

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Typical Schedule

Days:

Monday-Friday, weekends and holidays as needed

Hours:

9am-5pm, evenings as needed

 Core Responsibilities

  •          Serve as initial point of contact greeting visitors and answering phones
  •          Process hire documentation and communicate need for corrections with employees, management, and HR staff
  •          Scan and index documents into employee records
  •          Assist with insurance reconciliations, I-9 audits, and other document maintenance processes
  •          Provide monthly employee birthday and other recognition reports
  •          Administer company sponsored community/resort opportunities for employees
  •          Assist HR team with administrative functions/programs/events
  •          Complete special projects as assigned
  •          Participate in employee feedback programs/committees
  •          Other duties as assigned by management
