Rocktown Down & Dirty
A Fitness Challenge with a Farming Twist
Do you think you have what it takes to be as tough, hardworking, and resilient as a farmer? It's time to find out at Rockingham County's first-ever hybrid fitness fundraiser— the Rocktown Down & Dirty.
We're bringing you a unique event that combines fitness, farming, and a whole lot of fun, all to support the Rockingham County Fair Barn Raising Project. It's not just a competition; it's a party and community event rolled into one!
What to Expect
This hybrid event blends farm chores with Tough Mudder-type challenges. Gather your team of four and get ready to take on three farm-inspired events designed to test your communication, teamwork, strength, and endurance. You'll be carrying feed bags, flipping tires, holding cinder blocks, and doing bodyweight exercises. It’s all doable if you bring your determination and a touch of grit.
Timed Team Events include:
- Feeding Time – teams will be tasked to move a pallet of bagged feed across barriers and restack it on another pallet.
- Shop Time – teams will be tasked with “chores” relating to a large tractor tire and bodyweight exercises.
- Morning Chores – teams will be tasked to carry cinder blocks and drive t-posts into the ground to accomplish this event.
