About Us
The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County is a public charity founded in 1998 as a resource to the community. TCFHR makes charitable giving easy, acting in the best interest of our donors and partners to facilitate bold philanthropic initiatives for a stronger, healthier community. With assets of more than $88 million in 320 funds, the foundation awards more than $7 million in annual grants and scholarships to benefit the region, aiding nonprofit work in education, the arts and culture, health and human services, animal welfare, and more. The foundation is accredited by the Community Foundation National Standards and has a Platinum Seal of Transparency rating with Candid.
