About Us

Founded in 1998, The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County makes charitable giving easy, acting in the best interest of our donors and partners to facilitate bold philanthropic initiatives for a stronger, healthier community. With assets of more than $112 million in more than 350 funds, the foundation awards approximately $9 million in annual grants and scholarships to benefit the region, aiding nonprofit work in education, the arts and culture, health and human services, animal welfare, and more. The foundation is accredited by the Community Foundation National Standards and has a Platinum Seal of Transparency rating with Candid.
