The former Holiday Inn General Manager of the Year brings nearly 20 years of management experience to the comprehensive hospitality management company

March 20, 2019, Harrisonburg, VA – Jackson Hotel Management welcomes Brent C Jackson as President of their company. Brent joins the company with nearly 20 years of management experience in the hospitality industry. Brent will be responsible for managing new and existing business relationships while using his hotel operations background to improve guest satisfaction and overall hotel performance. Brent is a third-generation hotelier and an accomplished hotel operator as demonstrated when he earned the 2013 IHG® Best of the Best Holiday Inn General Manager of the Year award for providing outstanding service to the property, to the guests and to the community.

Brent joins Jackson Hotel Management after most recently serving as the General Manager of the award-winning Holiday Inn & Suites Front Royal Blue Ridge Shadows and Regional Manager of Operations, representing multi-property management, of Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club and Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar in Front Royal, VA. He previously served as Regional Manager of Operations over the Holiday Inn Winchester SE-Historic Gateway in Winchester, VA as well. In addition to this experience, Brent has worked in casino operations and has held management positions in restaurants, bars, golf courses, and hotels; including roles with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV and the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

Brent’s expertise and consistency in high guest satisfaction at his properties has been recognized by the hospitality industry. In addition to the Holiday Inn General Manager of the Year Award, Brent was recognized by Hotel Management Magazine in an article titled "GMs to Watch". Brent has demonstrated his ability to recruit, train, and maintain elite talent. During his tenure as General Manager at the Holiday Inn, employees earn a combined 11 IHG® Best of the Best awards. In 2018, Brent was invited by IHG® to serve as a member of the Holiday Inn General Manager Advisory Board. Brent has been a member of the IHG Owners Association Emerging Leaders Network (ELN) since 2014 and he currently serves as Vice Chair of their Executive Committee. Brent also volunteers with the IHG Owners Association as a working group member, serving on the 2019 Governance Committee; as well as the 2018, 2017, and 2016 Holiday Inn Committees and the 2015 Holiday Inn Food & Beverage Task Force.
Brent is an active member of the local community and the hotel industry. In early 2019, he has helped to create and charter a new Rotary International Club (Rotary Club of Northern Shenandoah Valley). He served two terms on the Front Royal-Warren County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, as well as the organization’s executive Committee. Brent has demonstrated quality leadership from a young age. Brent was active in scouting throughout his formative years, serving in numerous leadership roles and earning the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
Brent is a graduate of James Madison University, earning a BBA in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the JMU College of Business. During his time at JMU, Brent earned the 2002 'David Grimm Award' for top overall outstanding student in the Hospitality Program.
