DESCRIPTION:The EMU Music Department proudly presents its Music Gala Broadcast Special: A Concert of Hope at 7 p.m. Saturday\, November 21\, exclusively on EMU's Facebook Live!\n\n\n\nA diverse and eclectic array of music for hope\, including a performance by world-folk fusion group AppalAsia and a never heard before arrangement of the Steel Wheels hit "Sing Me Like a Folk Song" with the EMU Chamber Orchestra\, under the direction of conductor Benjamin Bergey\; special performances of Mozart's The Magic Flute by baritone James Richardson and soprano Kiara Kiah\, Piazolla's Libertango by cellist Kim Souther and pianist David Berry\, and music by Beethoven by the EMU Wind Ensemble\, under the direction of Robert Curry.\n\n\n\nAlso featuring contributions by the EMU Chamber Singers and EMU Jazz\; Kimberlea Daggy of WMRA's All Things Considered hosts the proceedings.\n\n\n\nDonations welcomed for the EMU Music Scholarship fund.\n\n\n\nSpecial thanks goes to Truist for their generous sponsorship\, and Clay Showalter and the staff at Ryan Berry Productions for their expertise in producing this video
