DESCRIPTION:Business Smarts 2020\n\n \n\nWe are seeking presenters for our January-December 2020 Business Smarts Sessions on topics that help meet the many challenges of business management and ownership. Business Smarts sessions are held on the 2nd Friday of every month at the JMU Ice House\, 127 W Bruce Street\, Harrisonburg\, from 8:00-9:30am.\n\n \n\n\n Session Topics might include: customer support\, human resources\, accounting & finance\, legal issues\, marketing\, sales\, operations\, technology\, competition\, strategic planning\, work/life balances\, discussion of a business-oriented book\, or any ideas related to business.\n A goal of every Business Smarts session is that attendees leave with practical information they can put to use in their business or professional life.\n\n\n PROPOSAL SUBMISSION\n\nYour Proposal for a Business Smarts Presentation must include the items listed below. If information is missing or vague\, your proposal may not be reviewed.\n\n1. Your name\, title or position\, business affiliation\, email address\, daytime phone number\, and web address of business\n\n2. A suggested title for your workshop\n\n3. Brief description of workshop content and the desired outcome/take-aways for attendees\n\n4. 3-4 sentences about your professional experience and/or education relevant to the topic\n\n5. Availability: indicate if there are any months Jan-Dec 2020 when you cannot present.\n\nSubmit your proposal via email by 5:00pm on Friday\, November 29\, 2019 with the subject line "Business Smarts Proposal" to: sheena@hrchamber.org and krechjh@jmu.edu \n\n \n\nNot a presenter yourself\, but you know a great topic or speaker?
