DESCRIPTION:This workshop will outline the many business programs and services that are available in Harrisonburg\, Rockingham County\, and the Commonwealth of Virginia.\n\n\n\nServices range from start-up steps\, to loans\, to tax credits\, to help finding commercial space....and more.\n\n\n\nThese services and programs are available to new and expanding businesses\, and attendees will take away contact info and knowledge about how to connect and use the services that exist to help their business launch or grow.\n\n\n\nPresenters:  Peirce Macgill\, Assistant Director\, Harrisonburg Economic Development Office\; Joshua Gooden\, Economic Development and Tourism Manager for Rockingham County\; and Joyce Krech\, Director\, Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center.\n\n     Peirce has 18 years of experience in the field of economic development. In his career\, he has held roles in Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County\, Maryland. As a double Duke with a master's degree in Public Administration\, Peirce returned to Harrisonburg in 2016 to serve as the Assistant Director for the city's economic development department.\n\n     Josh is a native of Rockingham Count and holds a degree in Business Administration from Bridgewater College. He is happy to assist current and future businesses showcase the county and surrounding area as a business location and tourism destination. Prior to joining the county\, Joshua worked with the Virginia Department of Transportation.\n\n     Joyce has served with the SBDC since 2000. She brings 30+ years of practical experience in small business operations\, marketing\, and finances\, and spends her days at the SBDC assisting and connecting clients to the many resources at the local\, state\, and national level. A lifelong "Valley Girl\," Joyce earned her BA from Bridgewater College and her MA in Technical and Scientific Communication from James Madison University.\n\n\n\n\n\nCoffee provided by:
