But every company goes through rough patches and growing pains\, and it's during these times that a team most needs a strong leader to help them weather the storm. \n\n \n\nSome organizations emerge from a crisis stronger and more ready to thrive than they were before the crisis arrived. The big differentiator that separates them from companies that falter is people   how their leaders empathize\, engage\, motivate\, and capitalize on their talents and knowledge in the face of adversity.\n\n \n\nIn this session\, we will explore strategies to help us embrace our current situation\, look at lessons learned from the COVID-19 crisis\, and discuss how we can prepare for the  future of work as leaders. At a time when so many of us are striving to make it day-by-day and haven't yet established a 'new normal'\; leaders need to 'set the stage' for the next chapter of leadership and business within their organization. \n\n\n\nAbout the presenter\n\nSheri Bender\, SHRM-SCP\, SPHR holds a master's degree in Adult Education/Human Resource Development from James Madison University.  She has over 25 years of practical human resource and training experience in various industries.  She currently owns Pulse HR Solutions\, LLC focused on leadership development training\, HR Audits\, and policy and procedure development.  She is an active member of the HR Virginia State Council and has served in various roles in local SHRM Chapters.
