Are you going through the motions\, but wishing you could remake yourself and your role? Is there a different admin inside of you? Let's talk! Often as administrative assistants we do not give ourselves permission to be the assistant we want to be. We make assumptions and miss making offers that could change the way we work with and serve our executives. We will discuss some key areas that all of us can bravely enter into and make our roles and our relationship with our manager even stronger.\n\n\n\nProject Management Daryl Kingrey\n\nMany organizations today don't employ full-time project managers. Indeed\, it's common to pull together a project team to meet a particular need\, one that usually involves producing an end product or service that benefits the organization or effects change. The end result can be tangible or intangible.\n\nGetting to that end result\, successfully\, is what project management is all about. At its core\, then\, project management centers on the planning and control of everything involved in delivering the end result - and it's a process that every person on a project team needs to embrace\, understand and execute\, no matter the experience level.\n\nEven if you lack academic skills in a project methodology\, taking a role in a project team provides an excellent learning opportunity\, one that can improve your career profile.\n\n\n\nSituational Assertiveness: Know Your No Sheri Bender\n\nAssertiveness is often mistaken for aggressiveness. In this session\, we will discover how to deal with conflict and difficult people. People who have mastered the skill of assertiveness are able to greatly reduce the level of interpersonal conflict in their lives\, thereby reducing a major source of stress. There are many different ways to deliver messages of 'no' and we want to choose the most appropriate one each time so that assertiveness is not mistaken for aggressiveness because there is a difference. \n\n\n\nMeet the Presenters\n\n\n\nAllison Fink is the Executive Administrator to the CEO at DuPont Community Credit Union and loves helping people stay on target\, keep organized\, and reach their development goals.
